Not Found 04:32
Inner secrets Buried intent All the regrets Interweaving Will they see it Given they had (Who will know when they have?) Clouded vision Heads in the air Can you see it? Written words tagged (Who will know the words tagged?) Unfounded reasons (Unknown devotion) Why we detract No more dividers There is motion incited When the moment’s inside us Feel the hold of the silence Too Much Enough
2.
On a field of voices Heat holds my head back All of the modes ending Through rolling sunlight Defy time Meadow winds distort skin Ease on the swell now Hard to find bones through trees While feeding the night White lies Faux golden contact Don’t get lost Know this will pass Finally the noises Separate and surround Fraught and convincing Too late to get out Bound down Faux golden contact Don’t get lost Know this won’t last Leave this all behind Can not synthesize Tracer misaligned Become civilized Leave this all behind Can not synthesize Tracer misaligned Become civilized Do you summon silence when you hide?
3.
Found out through the mind You were from a time When I was sitting bare A witness to the past It was time to fast Who was kidding then I was meant to lie I was innocent You were my descent I would be in debt To all of my dissents At times I’m Seeing a face I don’t know At times you See our days ending At times I’m Seeing a face I don’t know At times you See our days ending Slipping on the rocks Although I might feel pain I won’t let it out Bleeding through my socks Although I might feel pain I won’t let it out Feasting on my thoughts You sure are hungry Who should bear this pain? Need to let it out
4.
I stand Depleted I know I bleed it Three days Into Stiff wine Unsweetened The trifled The in time Receipts and Receipts and Uncultured Belongings They follow the pattern Outstanding Needs of each other A comfort A healing A healing I still stand Rethinking The offer Don’t bother Discovering Another To foster A healing Needless To say I bled for this day Is it alright to say How we’re being shy As our bodies unwind Tethered talk Idle sense Still remain Dressed in tar Very far From the same We were barred To evolve Tethered talk Idle sense Still remain Dressed in tar Very far From the same Products are deceiving

Body Shock 04:34
Saliva Dissolvent A tendency The products Are mine A fantasy A little known Courtesy Can’t escape us Tomorrow shouldn’t taint our relation Beloved symptoms found In my dealings I was going to Stay off the mound Out of business Bury me known I was a fool Instead you kept me out above it Out at elbows You want to see a slit I live it I would Like to let out All the reasons All the symptoms found In my dealings I was going to Stay off the mound Out of business Bury me known I was a fool Instead it kept me out above it Out at elbows You want to see a slit I live it I would
I could I should They were feeding bodies to the head Carelessly I die again You can see the modesty descend They receive the medicine Held on by your innocent hand Tempted by your violence Fled out of reality and mend Just another side effect Offered healing Far from done Our beauty All in one Are we really gone?

Vel 03:22
try me haywire the least has yet been done test the memories mindless body foreign loose tongue thank you send me a card all payloads gone say the obvious thing without saying much petrified but have a feeling that i’m just deep in the cut i assert your right to hide and go seek another platform justified but Do or die some might think i’m biased in a parasocial climate im through all this i promise i can’t sit still i’m neurotic i’m going to figure this on my own body foreign loose tongue thank you send me a card all payloads gone i’m going to figure this on my own body foreign loose tongue thank you send me a card all payloads gone

Third Place 05:08
I want to ascend Into the abyss The collective head (lense) Leave it all alone Third place artifacts Bleeding down your back Hold on to the past Leave it all alone Access denied The powers divide it Profits or life? Promising a lie Active denial We’ve been divided Who’s on your side? You decided that you had to Hide and seek yourself you actor Passive objects seem so far away when you are gone We’ve been entertained, And they see the problems that they made We’ll receive the bottom of what’s saved Leave it all alone Mechanical games Normalize the wasting of your faith Will you see the pattern that’s been laid Leave it all alone You decided that you had to Hide and seek yourself you actor Passive objects seem so far away when you are gone

about

One Punch Eraser, the debut album of Sensei Bonus, comprises eight robust tracks suffused with modern racket, alienation, and uncertainty. Its substructure is broken-clocklike. It is equal parts mini-maximalist phase rock, industrial prance, espresso techno, courthouse, art crock, and psychedelicacy.

Composed, recorded, and engineered in Highland Park, California as a ‘pandemic-era’ project, the album exploits, as its relentless engine, an unnatural and counterintuitive percussion. It is danceable if somber, sober yet arousing. Pulse-quickening, agitant, the album is thoroughly resolved even if it sounds like its resolution is unlikely.

“Not Found” starts the alarm with the inflection of an emergency siren and a rhetorical despair—all the regrets interweaving—which prepares the listener for an imminent and comfortable catatonia. The title track accurately describes itself—fraught and convincing—while convincing us that it’s too late to get out.

The hypnosis really begins with “Dust From Montana,” where a spinning push and a forlorn melody together concoct a sop of a bop. This beat wonderfully mistreats itself—no one is imperfect. “Daughter Products,” meanwhile, is that winedrunk gallop the mind maintains when left lonely at home or lost in the loud crowd.

The sole instrumental track, “Mutual Impulse,” happened only once, I swear, on a business trip. It’s missing time, it’s sort of a striptease in a war zone, which leads explosively into the ritual hypermarch that is “Body Shock.”

“Vel” suggests a denouement, if you believe everything you hear. This parasocial climate will maybe change too. Finally, in the nick of time, the closer, “Third Place,” with alien brushstrokes and active denial, helpfully reminds us that the only viable method is to see the pattern that’s been laid.

about

Sensei Bonus Los Angeles, California

Formed by Anthony Al-Rifai and Daniel Jodeci in the shellshocked analogue of quarantine, the sound of SENSEI BONUS draws from the propulsive energy of electronic body music, finding truth in the controlled chaos of punk and techno. Born from the instinctual yearn for dark, crowded dance floors, SENSEI BONUS offers a symbiotic chance to revel in the malaise and jubilance of the human condition. ... more
